2001 World Trade Center Disaster (FEMA)

In November of 2001, OctaFlex found itself involved in a major cleanup at the site of one of the nation’s greatest tragedies—the attacks on the World Trade Center Towers. As mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”), OctaFlex developed wash and decontamination system that processed all heavy transport and construction vehicles removing debris from the Ground Zero site. OctaFlex equipment became an integral part of the cleanup and enforced compliance of the EPA mandate prohibiting the removal of debris without first being processed by its washdown systems.
